ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Senior Laboratory Advisor to be based in Freetown (Sierra Leone). The Senior Laboratory Advisor reports to the SiLPHIA Project Director. S/He is responsible for leading and overseeing the laboratory activities of SiLPHIA survey. Liaising with ICAP headquarters and regional office, CDC ILB and other In-country lab partners, the Senior Laboratory Advisor will provide leadership and guidance towards implementation of survey laboratory agenda, through capacity building and management of quality management systems. In addition, he/she will provide support to lab supply chain and logistics to ensure correct laboratory supplies and quantities are purchased, properly managed and replenished within projected timelines.

ICAP urgently seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Senior Laboratory Advisor position as soon as possible. The successful candidate must hold at least a Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field. At least five years of experience in providing laboratory technical expertise in HIV surveys.
