ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Sonographer to be based in Freetown. The Sonographer reports to the MoH Radiologist and ICAP Technical Lead. S/He will support the rollout of new ultrasound systems, and will contribute to capacity-building and clinical training under the MedEd project. The MedEd Imaging Initiative is a flagship collaboration between the Ministry of Health and ICAP at Columbia University aimed at transforming medical education and diagnostic services in Sierra Leone.

The project supports the deployment of CT scanners, ultrasound machines, and a digital cadaver lab, accompanied by infrastructure renovations and staff training at key hospitals.

This position is grant funded.

 

ICAP urgently seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Sonographer position as soon as possible. The successful candidate must hold at least a BSc in Medical Sonography, Medical Imaging, or related field. At least 8 years’ experience performing diagnostic ultrasound in a clinical setting.
