ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks the services of a KP M&E Advisor in Zambia. ICAP in Zambia has been working in partnership with the Zambia Ministry of Health since 2004 to implement diverse HIV care and treatment programs in multiple provinces. Presently, ICAP works in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and provincial and district health offices in Western and North-Western provinces to provide technical assistance and evidence-based interventions to support the country’s HIV care and treatment program. ICAP also provides technical assistance to the National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council (NAC) on the provision of high-quality monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities for HIV key populations programming. 

As a highly valued member of ICAP in Zambia, the KP M&E Advisor will work closely with the ICAP Zambia SI Unit Director, ICAP Senior Advisor for HIV Care and Treatment and NAC Director of Programs to provide technical assistance to NAC in SI-related to key populations programming. This will involve strengthening systems for routine data collection, triangulating findings across data sources, improving data visualization and analytics, and enhancing data use for decision-making at provincial and national levels.

ICAP, seeks to recruit a highly qualified candidate to serve as KP M&E Advisor to be based in Lusaka, Zambia and should be able to fill the position by 11th November 2024.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or any related field, minimum six (6) years of related experience working with M&E and/or surveillance systems, experience and knowledge in M&E and/or public health surveillance systems, demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities, demonstrate strong skills in data management, analysis, statistics, or related fields, knowledge of and experience in health information management systems, database maintenance, and patient-level databases preferred, demonstrated computer skills, ability to rapidly process and analyze data, experience working with complex programs involving short deadlines and multiple tasks, in coordination with multiple partners to achieve program result, excellent written and oral communications skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to use computer software programs including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and statistical programs such as SPSS, SAS, STATA, or R.
