Project Director Kazakhstan
ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Project Director – Samarqand, Uzbekistan. The incumbent will coordinate and manage implementation of program activities under the EJAF SOMEC project, including daily supervision of technical staff, operational management, program reporting, coordination of activities with consortium partners and other key stakeholders, and oversight and monitoring of project performance by consortium partners. ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Project Director position by January 2025. The successful candidate will hold an MD (or international equivalent), PhD, DrPH or MPH and a minimum of five (5) years of senior level experience managing donor-funded HIV-projects in Uzbekistan, including budget and fiscal oversight responsibilities, and experience in capacity building of CBOs, including through training and/or mentorship. The incumbent will have proven experience of successful collaboration with government officials on development and implementation of donor-funded projects and initiatives and in-depth understanding of challenges and gaps in HIV programming in Samarqand Oblast.
