ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Technical Director to be based in Juba, South Sudan, for the anticipated USAID-funded activity in South Sudan. He/she will support strategic planning, foster innovation, and use best practices to ensure high-quality implementation and achievement of project deliverables. Reporting to the Chief of Party, the TD is a member of the Senior Management Team of the project.

ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced South Sudanese candidates to fill the position of Technical Director by January 2025. The successful candidate will lead the anticipated USAID-funded five-year care and treatment activity in South Sudan. He/she will hold an advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, medicine, or a related field with 8–12 years of senior experience in leading technical assistance efforts for HIV and TB prevention, care, and treatment programs in resource-constrained settings; experience in South Sudan or a similar sub-Saharan African context is preferred.

The incumbent will have strong, proven record experience working in similar roles in USAID-funded PEPFAR projects. Additionally, they must have demonstrated the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior-level government officials, donors, and multilateral organizations.
