ICAP at Columbia University seeks two qualified pharmacists, clinical or public health officers to coordinate implementation of the Pharmacy Event-Based Surveillance (PharmEBS) pilot in selected private pharmacies, and to support quality implementation of existing Hospital and Community Event-Based Surveillance (HEBS and CEBS). The officer will serve as the primary liaison between the ICAP EBS program, participating in pharmacies, Sub-County Disease Surveillance Coordinators (SCDSCs), and the national EBS system. The officer will oversee pharmacy recruitment and training, daily signal collection, signal triage and verification, feedback, supportive supervision, documentation, reporting, and pilot evaluation activities. The role is critical to assessing the feasibility, effectiveness, and timeliness of pharmacy-based EBS as a complement to HEBS and CEBS. ICAP seeks to fill two full-time positions: one based in Busia County and the other in Mombasa County. Both positions require regular local travel within the county of deployment. The successful candidate will hold a Diploma or degree in Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine, Public Health, or a related health field from a recognized institution. Registered with the relevant regulatory body (Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Clinical Officers Council, or Public Health Officers and Technicians Council), with a valid practicing license. At least two years of working experience in public health programs, disease surveillance, or clinical or pharmacy practice in Kenya. Good understanding of IDSR and of county and sub-county disease surveillance structures in Kenya. Familiarity with data confidentiality and ethical principles in public health practice. Digital data literacy and good report writing skills. The position will report to EBS Coordinator
