Temporary Business Analyst (Short-Term Role – 3 Months)

ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader based within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, is seeking to recruit a Temporary Business Analyst for a short-term (3-month) assignment in Nairobi. The selected candidate will be expected to start immediately.
Education and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, Public Health, or a related field.
• Additional training in digital health or health informatics is a plus.
Required Experience and Skills
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business analysis, software requirements gathering, and system documentation.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and business process modeling.
• Experience working with Digital Adaptation Kits (DAKs) in digital health projects.
• Good understanding of HL7 FHIR standards for healthcare data interoperability.
• Experience using JIRA for issue tracking and collaboration.
• Proficiency in defining and managing business and system requirements.
• Ability to develop clear technical and process documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience conducting user training and system rollout support.

This position is contingent upon the availability of grant funding.
