    ANGA Program Community Data Collectors (CDCs) in Kenya

    ICAP at Columbia University, a global health organization within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, is recruiting qualified candidates to serve as ANGA Program Community Data Collectors for a multi-country research project. The project examines the impacts of climate change and extreme weather on mental health, well-being, violence, and the development of localized early warning systems. CDCs will support ethical, safe, and high-quality community-based data collection and related field activities within their assigned wards. CDCs will report directly to the Field Supervisor within the Anga Community Team. The position is expected to run for approximately 27 months, subject to funding availability, ethical approvals, operational readiness, and satisfactory performance. Applications are invited from residents currently living in the following wards: • Waso Ward, Samburu East Sub-County-Samburu • Rhonda Ward, Nakuru East Sub-County -Nakuru • Ahero Ward, Nyando Sub-County -Kisumu • Bwereni Ward, Lunga Lunga Sub-County-Kwale • Chuda-Moroto Ward, Mvita Sub-County -Mombasa • Kitutu Chache South Ward, Mosocho Sub-County -Kisii Applicants must reside in the ward for which they apply, and shortlisted candidates will be required to provide proof of residence. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who have lived in the community for at least five years, have experience volunteering or serving as informal leaders in community structures (such as community health groups, women’s groups, advocacy initiatives, or local development activities), and demonstrate strong reliability and time management skills. The role involves data collection, quality assurance and analysis, preparation of reports and methodological materials, provision of expert guidance to partner facilities, capacity-building through trainings and workshops, and dissemination of the program key performance indicators and reports to stakeholders, including donors and government entities.
