Research Assistants / Data Collector in Kenya

ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Research Assistants / Data Collector – Event-Based Surveillance (EBS) Evaluation. The incumbents will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of ICAP’s programs research, technical and data collection in (6 Positions) Busia, Siaya, Nakuru, Meru, Mombasa, Nairobi County and National. ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill Research Assistants / Data Collector – Event-Based Surveillance (EBS) Evaluation (6 Positions) in Busia, Siaya, Nakuru, Meru, Mombasa, Nairobi County and National. Qualifications and Experience • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in public health, Social Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Epidemiology, or related field. • Experience in qualitative data collection; KII experience preferred. • Experience with electronic data collection platforms (e.g., REDCap) is an advantage. • Knowledge of EBS or IDSR systems is an added advantage. • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Willingness and ability to travel within assigned counties. The incumbent will have a demonstrated track record working on US Government-supported PEPFAR programs including program planning, monitoring and evaluation. The Research Assistants / Data Collector will also have experience working effectively as a part of diverse staff teams, and contributing to successful collaborations with donors, host-country ministries of health, and civil society. Previous work experience with ICAP in Kenya is an added advantage.
